intent of this assignment is to have pairs of students present oral
arguments before the "voters" on a recent public policy
issue. One pair of students will argue each side of the case, using
a combination of research material and their own ability to organize
and present a strong argument. Public policy debates are a key part
of politics as well as a fun way to learn the about current issues

Ultimate "Top Ten" Project
At
the end of each unit we study, you were required to prepare a "Top
Ten" assignment, as a way of reviewing the time period we just
studied. As we approach the end of the course, your final major
assignment is to create an ultimate Top Ten list for Canada and
Canadians, going from 1896 to 2002!
